Elisabeth McGinn
Oakdale, CT
Elisabeth loves people and to convey their stories in paint is the driving force of her work. Her portraits are not typical. She's had two separate collections based entirely on the homeless. ("Look Both Ways" 2010, "Right Next Door", 2013) and a collection of portraits to raise awareness and funds for World Concern's effort overseas "Look Beyond" in 2013. Her street scenes also tend to include people and tell a story.
Beginning in 2012, Elisabeth started teaching 4-5 classes a week of painting and drawing. Watching students make discoveries in each class and progress individually as artists has become a huge part of her personal art journey.
